We are excited to share two summer internship opportunities to work with our food access programs in the city!

Mobile Market Intern
We seek a Mobile Market Intern to assist the Mobile Market Manager and other program staff in facilitating Grown To Go Community Mobile Market activities, which may include our Prescription Produce Plan, nutrition outreach and education activities and other programs related tasks. The Intern will work 10 to 20 hours a week (hours are negotiable), assisting the Mobile Market team in activities at a variety of mobile market sites with setup, produce sales, community engagement and more, preparing and distributing taste samples, and helping to design and distribute educational materials for shoppers. Additional activities may include administrative support (including data collection and input), social media outreach, and farm-based work if so desired.

The ideal candidate should have experience in volunteering or working in community-based settings. Interest or experience in food access, social justice and promoting a more equitable food system are essential. *Qualifications: Able to lift 40 pounds, creativity, flexibility, humility and a can-do-attitude.

Food Skills Intern
We are looking for a Food Skills Intern to assist the Program Director and other program staff in facilitating our innovative fruit and vegetable prescription programs (the Prescription Produce Plan and the Kitchen Clinic), and offer nutrition outreach and education activities integrated throughout our other food access programming. The Intern will work 10 to 20 hours a week (hours are negotiable), assisting the Program Director and other program staff in activities at a variety of PPP and Kitchen Clinic sites with setup, cooking classes, food distribution, community engagement and taste samples, preparing and distributing produce prescriptions, checking in with participating families, and creating educational resources for participants. Additional activities may include administrative support (including data collection and input), social media outreach, and farm-based work if so desired.

The ideal candidate should have experience in volunteering or working in community-based settings.
