The Farm Intern will assist the farm staff (including farm manager, assistant farm manager, farmers in residence, and volunteer coordinator) in all manner of farm work. The Farm Intern must have a strong desire to learn and a willingness to work hard. Farming or gardening experience is preferred but not required. The Farm Intern must be prepared for strenuous labor under potentially extreme weather conditions. The Farm Intern will participate in all aspects of farm life: seeding, transplanting, soil amending, harvesting, processing, packing, distribution, and more. Must have reliable transportation to and from the farm.
Internship dates: End of May/Beginning of June (flexible) – End of August, with the possibility to extend. The hours may be part time or full time.
This position is located on the farm in Midlothian, Virginia, at Rt. 288 and Huguenot Trail.
