This initiative is designed to highlight the vital role of local agriculture while strengthening connections between farmers, businesses, and the community. This event will be held at Shalom Farm where guests will enjoy a farm-to-table lunch featuring locally produced foods, including local produce, and gain firsthand insight into a successful agricultural enterprise.

Join Powhatan County Economic Development Events page for the second Field to Fork event on November 7th at Shalom Farms as we celebrate the people and partnerships that make our local agricultural community thrive!
In collaboration with the Virginia Cooperative Extension – Powhatan and Powhatan Public County Schools, this lunch will take guests on a journey from field to table, showcasing the farmers, local products, and hard work that help sustain and strengthen agriculture in Powhatan County.
Our Chef will be Jason Peyton from Powhatan High School and will feature his talented culinary students!
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch while celebrating local agriculture, education, and the connections that bring food from the field to our forks
The event will kick off with the 1st tour at 11:00 AM, lunch around noon, then 2nd tour following lunch.
