We believe in good food–food that is good for our bodies, our communities, and our Earth. We also know everyone has the right to access fresh fruits and vegetables! Our programs make healthy food easier to find and more affordable in areas across the city that currently have limited options.
Visit our Mobile Markets or Healthy Corner Stores to find more options in your neighborhood! The map to the left shows all of our Market and Store locations. Below, you can find more information about each program. Our Mobile Markets are in operation from May-November, and we make deliveries to our partner corner stores year-round.

The Grown to Go Mobile Market
The Grown to Go Community Mobile Market is a seasonal, affordable source for farm-fresh fruits and vegetables! When you visit the truck, you’ll find all kinds of fresh produce grown at our farm in Midlothian, and sourced through other local farmers. Ask about our loyalty program, and ways to save on our already very-low prices. Did you know when you use SNAP/EBT at the Market, everything is 50% off?!
Our markets will be back in starting the week of June 3!
Healthy Corner Stores
The Richmond Healthy Corner Store Initiative aims to make healthy food easier to find throughout the city, especially in places where fresh options are hard to find. The Richmond City Health District and Shalom Farms partner with local corner stores to provide healthy food and in-store events to make healthy eating easier than ever. Check out the freshly stocked fridges at our participating stores!

The seasonal vegetables available on the Mobile Market and in the Healthy Corner Stores come from Shalom Farms, a nonprofit 15 acre farm in Midlothian, Virginia. We use sustainable and organic growing practices, and are Certified Naturally Grown. By avoiding the use of harmful chemicals, we focus on growing nutrient dense fresh fruits and vegetables that are good for our bodies and the environment.
We also partner with other local farms to supply items that we don’t grow on our farm, like apples, peaches, strawberries, and corn. These farms include Silver Creek and Seaman’s Orchard, Saunders Brothers, Agriberry, and Deer Run Farm. These items may be organic or conventionally grown, but are all high-quality and locally produced.
Other produce for our Healthy Corner Store program, including items like oranges, out of season produce, pears, etc., are procured from Rudy’s Exotic Mushrooms and Produce, a local produce aggregator. By working with Rudy’s, we are able to provide a greater selection and variety year round.
