Fall Workshop Series: Herb Propagation

As the summer comes to an end now is the time to take your favorite herbs into the winter months with you. Attendees will learn the simple, cost-effective, and rewarding process of propagating your favorite herbs to create new plants for your garden or windowsill. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll gain the skills to multiply your herb collection and enjoy fresh flavors year-round.

Natasha Crawford is the owner and farmer of Healing Hope Urban Gardens located at the Petersburg Oasis Community Farm in Petersburg, VA.

She grows a variety of vegetables and incorporates crops that are culturally meaningful and can’t be found in local grocery stores. Natasha approaches farming from a holistic manner that promotes relationships between the farmer, the environment, the plants, and the community.

Natasha is a disabled Army Veteran and uses farming to promote mental health and emotional well-being. She also enjoys showing community members varying methods of gardening and growing their own food as an act of self sufficiency and freedom.
