Powhatan Farm Intern

Shalom Farms is a nonprofit working with communities to increase access to healthy food and the support to live healthy lives. We work with thousands of volunteers from all backgrounds each year to produce more than 200,000 pounds of produce. We distribute this produce throughout the Richmond area through a variety of programs and partnerships.

Our Powhatan farm, located in Midlothian, VA, produces a variety of crops across 8-acres. It is our primary growing site, and a destination for 8,000 volunteers and educational visitors annually. We are seeking interns to participate in every aspect of our sustainable vegetable farm operation. Interns work under the guidance of the Powhatan Farm Manager, Seyra Whitney, for a minimum of 15 hours/week between the months of March and November; the duration of the internship is flexible based on the needs of the farm and applicant. We are currently seeking interns for Spring and Summer 2022.
