The Farm Intern will assist the farm staff (including farm managers, farmers in residence, and volunteer manager) in all manner of farm work. The Farm Intern may assist with delivery and city based programming, depending on their level of interest and the organizational need.
The Farm Intern must have a strong desire to learn and a willingness to work hard. Farming or gardening experience is preferred but not required. The Farm Intern must be prepared for strenuous labor under potentially extreme weather conditions.
The Farm Intern will participate in all aspects of farm life: seeding, transplanting, soil amending, harvesting, processing, packing, distribution, and more.
A driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
Internship dates: End of August through the end of November (flexible)
Hours per week: Part or Full Time
Location: Midlothian, Virginia. Rt. 288 and Hugenot Trail.
