Farm Intern 2017
The Farm Intern will assist the farm staff (including farm manager, assistant farm manager, farmers in residence, and volunteer coordinator) in all manner of farm work. The Farm Intern may assist with delivery and city based programming, depending on their level of interest and the organizational need.
The Farm Intern must have a strong desire to learn and a willingness to work hard. Farming or gardening experience is preferred but not required. The Farm Intern must be prepared for strenuous labor under potentially extreme weather conditions.
The Farm Intern will participate in all aspects of farm life: seeding, transplanting, soil amending, harvesting, processing, packing, distribution, and more.
A driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
Internship dates: End of May/Beginning of June (flexible) – End of August, with the possibility to extend
Hours per week: Part or Full Time
Compensation: Produce. Housing available for full time applicants.
Location: Midlothian, Virginia. Rt. 288 and Hugenot Trail.
